THE LONG ISLAND TITANS ARE PLEASE TO ANNOUNCE OUR 2012 MYRTLE BEACH TRIP
February 19th-24th @ Ripken Complex in Myrtle Beach


     Transportation via luxury coach bus provided for players & their families, which is included in the fee. Each bus is equipped with televisions, DVD players and bathrooms. Bus leaves from Suffolk/Nassau county border on February 19th at 7pm. Coming home, the bus will leave Myrtle Beach on February 24th at 11am & arrive in Long Island around 10pm.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS: February 4, 2012

  • All players, parents and coaches will stay at the Myrtlewood Luxury Villas located 1 mile from the Ripken complex.

  • OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS AGES 12-18

  • Players and coaches will stay in a 3 bedroom villa. Each villa has a full kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 ½ bath, and a washer and dryer.

  • Seven players and or coaches will stay in each villa. Our coaching staff will supervise the players.

  • Parents will stay in a 1 or 2 bedroom villa that has all of the same amenities except there are only 2 bathrooms.

  • The Myrtlewood Villas has 20 outdoor pools and two 18 hole golf courses.

 

     After arriving at Myrtle Beach, the players will play in a 3-day tournament or play games vs. age appropriate teams, including 12U. The tournament will run from Feb 19-21 with a 4 game minimum.  Players not in the tournament will play 2-scheduled games a day. For the rest of the trip, the Titans will have full access to the Ripken facilities which includes: 14 batting cages, 12 pitching mounds, 2 practice infields, 5 small fields, and 2 full size fields with lights. The fields are all turf fields. All players will receive a full MLB type spring training workout with former Minor League players, college coach’s and some of the Titans coaching staff. Pitchers will get daily one on one workouts with pitching coach’s. We will have classroom type instruction as well as one on one hitting, bunting , fielding. All teams will scrimmage every day with some night games. There will be skills competition such as homerun derby, 60 yd dash and around the horn for all age groups. Ripken will provide umpires, baseballs, and set up scrimmages. This will provide a great environment to get ready for your spring season.

    
Included in the player / parent fee is bus transportation on a 57 passenger luxury bus equipped with televisions, DVD players and bathrooms he buses will transport everyone to different area attraction every day. Breakfast and lunch are also included. Breakfast will consist of a choice of bagels, eggs, hash browns, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, milk and juice. Lunch will consist of hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, pizza, cheeseburgers plus fries, chips, ice cream, and soda with 1 refill.
