June 2008: Congratulations to LI Titans alumnus Jason Appel for getting drafted in the 22nd round of the 2008 MLB amateur draft by the Tampa Bay Rays. Jason was an all Long Island player who graduated from Plainview HS in in NY in 2004. He was drafted at of high school by the Philadelphia Phillies but decided to attend the U of North Carolina-Wilmington. He was a 4 year starter at UNCW where his career was highlighted by a trip to the NCAA tournament his senior year. He leaves UNCW as the all time hit leader in the school's history. Jason is off to a great start for the Hudson Valley Renegades and we wish him well.

 June 2007: Vito Frabizio recently signed a free agent contract with the Baltimore Orioles. Vito was a member of our 18u Titans Gold Team in 2007 and has been training in Florida attempting to sign with a major league team.
